LEADERS BY CHOICE
We all face choice everyday. And the choices we make can affect the rest of our lives. Choosing the right fraternity is an important decision—one that will have a profound impact on your days as a student and in your life as a leader.

Pi Kappa Phi’s commitment to leadership dates back more than 100 years to our humble roots at the College of Charleston where our founders exemplified leadership in the classroom, on the athletic field, in campus politics and within the community. Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity was founded to further create leadership opportunities—by men who made the choice to lead. Today, on more than 157 campuses across America, Pi Kappa Phi has broadened its commitment to building men who are leaders by choice.

SLATE SELECTED FOR NOMINATION TO NATIONAL COUNCIL
Over the past few months, the 2010 Nominating Committee of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity has examined a list of candidates nominated for positions on the National Council of Pi Kappa Phi. After deliberation, it is the unanimous recommendation of the Nominating Committee that the following brothers be presented to the 52nd Supreme Chapter to serve in the corresponding capacity on the National Council of the fraternity.
INTRODUCING THE DIGITAL STAR & LAMP
This fall, alongside the milestone 100th anniversary issue of the Star & Lamp, we are excited to introduce to our readers a new digital format, which will be available to view on pikapp.org after the new year. The digital Star & Lamp provides an enhanced, interactive experience with audio and video features and animated pages that “flip” like a print magazine. The digital format also enables readers to forward articles to friends and browse through a digital archive of past issues.

The new digital Star & Lamp also helps the fraternity to save significantly on printing and postage costs while reducing our impact on the environment.

Starting in 2010, the spring and fall issues will be available in both print and digital formats. We will also begin publishing a digital-only winter issue. If we have your e-mail address on file, you’ll automatically begin receiving the digital issues in your inbox. However, if you prefer to continue receiving your Star & Lamp in its traditional print format, we are happy to mail your issues to you—you’ll just need to let us know. (If you do not have an e-mail address on file, we will continue to mail your print copy.)
PI KAPPA PHI TO PUBLISH MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY
Pi Kappa Phi is partnering with Harris Connect to produce a membership directory scheduled for publication in spring 2010.

Over the next several months, you may receive postcards, e-mails and phone calls from Harris Connect requesting updated contact information. Your cooperation will ensure that you receive upcoming issues of the Star & Lamp and that you are kept informed about events and opportunities regarding your chapter or region.

As the greater fraternity moves to increase its electronic communications, it is important that you keep your e-mail address updated so you’re sure to receive news, announcements and invitations from Pi Kappa Phi and Push America.

“We are excited for the future of Pi Kappa Phi’s digital presence,” said CEO Mark E. Timmes. “You may already be following us on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, but you can expect to see your fraternity using technology in some exciting new ways in the near future. This is why we are highly encouraging you to keep an e-mail address on file.”
