While an undergraduate at Northwestern State of Louisiana, Shayne was Student Body President and served the chapter as Chaplain and Historian. Following his graduation he has remained involved in the Fraternity as a member of the Beta Omicron alumni chapter executive council, ritual and new member education advisor to the undergraduate chapter and as a ladder of risk facilitator for the national organization. The Beta Omicron Chapter named him their Distinguished Alumnus for 2012. Shayne has earned his Masters from Northwestern state and is pursuing his doctorate in higher education administration from LSU. He currently works for Northwestern as their Director of Greek Life and Assistant Director of Student Life. He is a past board member of the Louisiana Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators. Shayne is currently a board member of the Natchitoches Historic Foundation, which he has been on since he was 18 and won their Outstanding Board Member for 2014-2015.
