Sean Miller

30under30 LOGOWhile at University of Wyoming, Sean was a founding father for the Iota Gamma Chapter. As an undergraduate, Sean served the fraternity as the Philanthropy Chair where he helped established and cultivated a partnership with Special Olympics Wyoming. At Supreme Chapter 2012, Sean was the recipient of the Philanthropist of the Year award. During his time at Wyoming, Sean was involved in numerous campus activities including Order of Omega Leadership Honorary and Student Senate. After undergrad, he dedicated two years with City Year as an AmeriCorps volunteer serving in an urban middle school in Jacksonville, Florida. During his time with City Year, Sean was nominated for the Eli Segal Bridge Builder Corps Member of the Year and was the recipient of the Comcast NBC Universal Leadership Award. After completing his service, Sean relocated to Roanoke, Virginia where he works with students who have Cerebral Palsy in a self-contained special education classroom. While working full time, Sean volunteers within the Roanoke community as a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Boys and Girls Club. Sean attends Liberty University where he is earning a Masters in Teaching in Special Education. Sean continues to contribute to the fraternity by serving as the Philanthropy Advisor for both Xi (Roanoke) Chapter and Delta Phi (Radford) Chapter.

Advice to students and young alumni:
“Do not be afraid to accept feedback! If you take in all the feedback, you will be surprised how much you will see yourself grow professional and personally; also always surround yourself with people who are going to challenge you to become your best self.”
