Alpha Omicron alumnus leads City Hall renovations

The building, which is 107 years old, is being made compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

“It was imperative we maintain the character of these critical spaces that make up the historical nature of the building,” said Steve Naber, deputy engineer for the city of Des Moines.

The face-lift for the century-old building is still in the works, and it includes a new elevator, data cabling and restroom improvements.
