Anthony Golding
Iota Nu – Mississippi State University
After graduating from Mississippi State University, Anthony began his teaching career at Tupelo Middle School in Tupelo, MS where he served as an 8th-grade history teacher for four years. During this time he attained his Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Mississippi and an Educational Specialist Degree in School Administration from Mississippi State University while being nominated as Teach of Distinction, the district’s highest honor, all four years. While obtaining his Master’s Degree, Anthony served as the Chapter Advisor to the Alpha Lambda chapter. As a teacher, he wrote and was awarded more than $5,000 in grants aimed at promoting service-based learning with his students. In 2015, Bradley was a keynote speaker at the National Council for the Social Studies Conference in New Orleans, LA where he was recognized by state politicians and invited to discuss issues as they relate to students. In 2017 he was named Head Principal at Houlka Attendance Center and since then has seen graduation rates improve by more than 20%, a decrease in discipline referrals, and an increase in student and teacher attendance. He has recently accepted to continue his studies at Belhaven University where he hopes to obtain his doctorate.
