I am and will always be grateful for Tara Benson, Associate Director of the Plaster Student Union/ Director of Student Engagement at Missouri State University. Starting with my first semester at MoState, she set the bar high for my expectation of advisors and student affairs professionals. She is incredibly passionate about her students and while she pushes her students leaders to excel, she always provides them with the necessary tools to succeed and kind words of motivation. After several years of not being her direct advisee, I still feel that much of my collegiate success comes from having spent time in her positive and patient presence.
