Student Spotlight – September 2014: Zack Kellogg

Zack Kellogg, Beta Beta (Florida Southern)

Kellogg ran for the position of vice archon and won in a landslide. Despite the stress of chartering week, he planned a successful open bid for the rest of fall 2013, and a successful spring 2014 recruitment. To top it all off, he led the charge on fall 2014 recruitment, which just recently ended with an amazing Beta Class for the chapter. He’s a fantastic vice archon, brother, and an inspirational role model not only to his little brothers, but to young brothers in the chapter.

Kellogg’s achievements go beyond the fraternity. Outside of Pi Kappa Phi, he has been a resident advisor since his sophomore year, which includes summer semesters. As of this year (his senior year), he has been made the head RA in his Office of Community Living. He has been recognized numerous times by the Office of Community Living and his residents. Even those of other Greek affiliation know that they can come to Kellogg with anything and that he will listen, mentor, advise, and guide.

Finally, Kellogg is also the newly elected president of the Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, a 100-year old national leadership honor society for Greeks which demands an impressive GPA. Though being newly elected, Kellogg has started to lead the ODK Circle with skill and grace, offering the same attributes which he has brought to Pi Kapp and those he has learned from our ritual. Needless to say, Kellogg is doing great things at Florida Southern.
