Helpful Tips for Your First Supreme Chapter 

Everything you ever wanted to know about your first Supreme Chapter but were afraid to ask… 

Helpful Attire Tips

  • Thursday: Registration and the opening event on Thursday are business casual. Click here for examples.  
  • Friday-Sunday: All events at the hotel, including legislative sessions and meals, are coat and tie/business professional. Coat and tie, slacks, dress shoes with socks are to be worn. Click here for examples.  
  • Arriving and departing in travel clothes is acceptable.  
  • You must wear your name badge at all times.  

Arriving at the Hotel 

  • Check-in at the hotel lobby to receive your room keys. Bellman tips are not included in the registration fee, so please tip accordingly ($1-$2/bag). 
  • Check-in at the Convention Registration area in the Key Ballroom Foyer on the second floor to receive your Supreme Chapter schedule and name badge. Lines will be organized by the first letter of your last name, with undergraduates and alumni in their own sections. 
  • All initiated members will be challenged, at which time you will receive your Pi Kappa Phi lanyard.  
  • Student delegates should prepare to arrive at the hotel prior to delegate orientation at 5 p.m. in the Key Ballroom. 
  • Pick up your Supreme Chapter ribbons in the Challenge Room. Ribbons are first-come, first-served. 
  • Please see the Supreme Chapter Help Desk, located in the Key Ballroom Foyer, if you have any special needs or concerns.

All Sessions/Meals 

  • Be on time – Supreme Chapter runs on a tight schedule. You’ll be amazed at how much we accomplish in just three days! 
  • To make the most of your experience, try to meet at least one new person at each event. There will be more than 600 brothers who would love to meet you. 
  • Be respectful and listen closely whenever anyone is at the microphone, or you might miss valuable information or announcements. 

Legislative Sessions (Friday-Sunday) 

  • All undergraduate delegates sit in chapter Greek alphabetical order in the middle of the room. All other members sit in the chairs located on the left or right side of the room. 
  • Electronic devices such as Smartphones and iPads may be used solely for note taking and viewing materials related to Supreme Chapter business. Other uses of electronic devices, including phone calls, email, texting, recording or viewing materials other than those relating to Supreme Chapter business are prohibited and are grounds for dismissal from the Legislative Session room. Electronic devices must be set on “silent” mode. You must wear your lanyard and name badge to be admitted.

Important Undergraduate Sessions (Thursday) 

  • All undergraduate delegates will attend an orientation on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the Key Ballroom. This session will help set delegates up for success and ready to complete the work of the Fraternity. Come prepared to engage and learn.  
  • All undergraduate members in attendance will attend two townhall sessions between 6 and 7 p.m. on Thursday. Refer to the Supreme Chapter app for rooms and times.  

Opening Event (Thursday) 

  • Don’t miss out on this fun opening event. Food stations will be available throughout the Maryland Science Center so you can eat a full meal while enjoying the many exhibits the venue has to offer. Network and enjoy this celebration of brotherhood.  
  • The Maryland Science Center is a 10-minute walk from the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor. You will receive a walking map at check-in, and Pi Kappa Phi staff will be located along the route to get you to and from the venue.  

Ritual of Initiation (Friday) 

  • Join us as we welcome a new member to Pi Kappa Phi! Our Model Initiation Team from the Beta Alpha (NJIT) Chapter will perform this initiation and debrief in front of the entire Supreme Chapter.  

The Ability Experience Luncheon (Friday) 

  • Join us for a luncheon to celebrate the mission of The Ability Experience.    
  • Seating is open.

Important Undergraduate Sessions (Friday) 

  • All undergraduate delegates will attend special recruitment hype sessions on Friday from 4:45-5:15 p.m. Refer to the Supreme Chapter app for room locations. 
  • Optional after-hours programming will be available from 5:30-6:30 p.m. If you were invited to attend one or more of these sessions prior to arriving on-site, your attendance is mandatory. Refer to the Supreme Chapter app for room locations. 

Optional Friday Baseball 

  • Pi Kappa Phi has secured a ticket block to see the Baltimore Orioles take on the San Diego Padres on Friday, July 26, at 7:05 p.m. at Camden Yards (located directly behind the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor). Pi Kappa Phi Awards Luncheon (Saturday)  

  • This lunch is a celebration of our undergraduate and alumni members’ accomplishments. Come prepared to hear about the phenomenal accomplishments of our members and celebrate our award winners! 
  • Seating is open.  

Supreme Chapter Banquet (Saturday) 

  • Supreme Chapter Banquet is a special event celebrating the Fraternity and some very special members and friends who exemplify brotherhood and loyalty. Celebrate a time-honored tradition at an unforgettable evening.  
  • Seating is open.  

Hotel Departure 

  • Hotel check out is 11 a.m. You will need to be out of your room prior to breakfast. You will be able to store your luggage in Key 12 on Sunday morning.
