San Diego Pi Kapps Celebrate Brotherhood

On May 4th, 2019 70 Pi Kapp Alumni, Undergrads, Family and Friends gathered in downtown San Diego to celebrate brotherhood, and welcome the USD undergraduate brotherhood and the newly added UCSD Associate chapters to Pi Kappa Phi.

The event started at Social Tap restaurant, where young and young at heart mingled and had some delicious appetizers. The undergraduates raffled off some swag and event tickets to raise money for the Ability experience.

From there, the group walked next door to the beautiful Petco Park Stadium to watch the San Diego Padres battle their neighbors and rivals the Los Angeles Dodgers. Each attendee even received a Padres’ branded bucket hat as the group took over the 300 section behind home plate. The Padres organization even posted a welcome message to Pi Kappa Phi on the jumbotron! The game itself was extremely exciting as both teams went back and forth taking the lead and after almost 4 hours of play the Dodgers came out triumphant.

After the game several of age attendees went to Double Deuce for some dancing and bull riding. What a wonderful day, filled with great friendships and amazing life long memories.

And even more special… The May 4th event raised a solid $600 for our Ability Experience Philanthropy, through proceeds and donations.
