Pi Kappa Phi Brothers across the country are supporting The Ability Experience by fundraising and promoting the abilities of people with disabilities through a variety of events on their campuses. In February 2014, Pi Kappa Phi started an expansion at Illinois State University. During the expansion process, mention of a vacant fraternity house repeatedly came up in conversation. It was an exciting prospect and after further research, it was evident that the 17 bedroom former Tau Kappa Epsilon house was vacant and available to lease.
MTSU's Chi Omega sorority held its annual Mr. MTSU competition in Tucker Theatre on Thursday night as a part of their philanthropy project for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
On Monday, October 6, a special luncheon was held in honor of Pi Kappa Phi's newest Hall of Fame inductee Admiral R.J. "Zap" Zlatoper, Alpha Tau (RPI). The luncheon, held at Atlanta's prestigious Capital City Club, was coordinated with the help of Pi Kappa Phi Foundation trustee Tom Coley. Due to distance, Admiral Zlatoper was not able to attend the summer's Supreme Chapter, where his induction into the Hall of Fame was announced.
For Throwback Thursday, here is a photo from the archives featuring the Alpha Chapter at College of Charleston. This picture was taken in either 1968 or 1969, which was one year before past National President David Jaffee, Alpha (Charleston), joined Pi Kappa Phi.
