The six short stories in Kimzey’s book introduce the reader to a fantastical world that is part Franz Kafka’s Metamorphosis, part Roald Dahl. Kimzey himself has also received praise as a young author, a fellow author noting that Blake “writes with enormous talent, imagination, and depth of feeling.”
After growing up in a small Texas town, Blake went on to graduate from Texas A&M before completing his MFA at UC Irvine. Blake’s work has been featured in numerous publications, and he’s currently writing his first novel.
