JOH and personal successes help wrap up a great quarter for Alpha Delta Chapter at Washington

Most recently, our four Journey of Hope cyclists have begun their trek on the South route toward Washington DC. The cyclists include graduating senior Kyle Roth, junior Chase Steigers, and sophomores Ryan Green and Joel McClure.

A sophomore in the house, Tyler Wu, ran in the ASUW elections this spring for the position of Director of Community Relations. The entire brotherhood rallied around Tyler, tabling for him and supporting him at forums, and watched as Tyler won the position by a higher margin than any other victorious candidate of the election.

Keeping our connection strong with the local Miracle League program, a group of more than 30 members organized by Push Chairmen Brian Weisbrod made the trip to nearby Redmond to help children with various special needs take part in a fun game of baseball. Brian has also made a connection with Seattle Adaptive Sports, a group that provides athletic competition for those who have been severely handicapped, and we look forward to starting a long-lasting friendship with the organization.

As for the alumni of Alpha Delta, to the dismay of many active members, they recaptured the first place trophy of Alpha Delta Cup, our annual alumni/active golf tournament raising money for the Todd J. Porterfield Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Northwest weather held up, and it was a fun day of golf and sharing memories of the past and present of Alpha Delta Chapter.

We are all currently working hard to finish up the school year with high grades, and look forward to a summer filled with exciting opportunities within and outside of the house.
