The mission was organized by Student Leadership University, an organization he has participated in since high school. The group helped with a variety of service projects, including assisting with home visits for the ill and organizing spiritual aid for the distressed.
The Student Leadership University aims to develop student leaders through experiential and service-based programs. Stephen chose to take part in SLU’s trip so that he could serve others beyond the work of his chapter, as well as get more in touch with his Christian faith.
