Eta Psi Chapter reflects on chartering experience

The Eta Psi Chapter at the University of Central Florida had worked endlessly to earn a charter, and after a myriad of obstacles, as well as a multitude of brotherhood experiences, we did it.

It all started in February of 2013, where we had amassed a group of 60 to 70 gentlemen. Following that semester’s completion, we entered the summer where our associate chapter dropped to approximately 27 at one point. Refocusing our efforts, we slowly amounted to 45 by the end of the fall semester, and entered the spring with one goal in mind: chartering. That spring, the Eta Psi Associate Chapter put on an Empathy Dinner, volunteered with the Best Buddies organization, as well as helped with many non-profit, charitable organizations in the greater Orlando community. On Friday, the 21st of March, our gathering of men had the gratification to hear the approval of our charter from National Secretary Jeremy Galvin and National Treasurer Thomas Sullivan.

A special thanks to our Leadership Consultant John-Frazier Strickland, as well as brothers Jonathan Conde and Keenan Dollar for establishing the colony and helping us along the way.
