Carlos S. Ramirez has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from American University, where he was a founding father of the Theta Eta chapter. After graduating from American, Carlos moved to Philadelphia to attend law school at Drexel University. While at Drexel, Carlos became house director and an advisor for Alpha Upsilon and served as Ladder of Risk facilitator. He is the senior trial counsel for the United States Army’s 1st Cavalry Division in Fort Hood, Texas. Prior to his current assignment, Carlos was the trial counsel and legal advisor for the United States Army Ordnance School. Carlos has been on active duty with the Army as a judge advocate since 2010. In the summer of 2014, Carlos will assume duties as the chief of military justice for Combined Joint Task Force 1 in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Carlos also serves as a pro-bono legal advisor to victims of domestic violence, an advisor and mentor to young members of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps and a community volunteer for Multiple Sclerosis awareness groups.
