After graduating from Chapel Hill, Blake enrolled in an intensive 12 month program at Wake Forest University for his MA. Following that he moved to Raleigh, N.C. to work as a Global Markets Intelligence Analyst for Ipreo. There he provided research on stocks and shareholders for publicly traded companies. He recently accepted a position with Meritage Homes as a market research analyst, providing in-depth research and analysis on the metropolitan home markets in Raleigh and Charlotte. Blake is an avid runner and in the past participated in the Marine Corp Marathon in D.C. benefiting Wounded Warriors and The Ability Experience. He is also an active member of his church, volunteering with the kids ministry and young professionals ministry.
Advice for students and young alumni: “Don’t waste the years right after college because it’s one of the most important periods in your life. Work hard, explore different careers to find your passion, and surround yourself with people who push you to become the best version of yourself.”
