A first-generation college graduate and Phillip M. Summers Student of the Year recipient, Victor Tran, Theta Rho (Western Michigan), was hired to work for Pi Kappa Phi as a Leadership Consultant after graduation. He transitioned to the Communication Team as an Assistant Communications Director doing graphic design and brand development for the Fraternity. A few years later, Victor was promoted to Assistant Executive Director of Communication. He was instrumental in rebranding several programs, honored with several awards from the Fraternity Communications Association for excellence in design through capital fundraising campaigns, program support, and magazine development. Victor’s team created innovative designs through the Star & Lamp magazine and advanced video to direct the Supreme Chapter Virtual Experience. He also serves on the Southeastern Greek Leadership Association volunteer board as the Assistant Executive Director of Marketing and Communications. Victor is now a Visual Designer with IBM, working in developer services with hybrid cloud and cognitive design.
