Caleb Markey
Iota Rho – Western Illinois
Caleb served as a founding father and founding treasurer of the Iota Rho chapter at Western Illinois University. Immediately after graduating in 2014, Caleb took on the role of Campaign Manager for Illinois State Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer. As Campaign Manager, he was responsible for fundraising, paid advertising, earned media, and the door to door outreach program where he helped educate thousands of voters on his representative’s candidacy. After participating in a graduate program called the Illinois Legislative Studies Internship Program, Caleb went on to work at RSM US LLP, a national public accounting firm. After a year with the firm, he was promoted early to Senior Assurance Associate, a position that gave him additional responsibilities of supervising and training staff while in-charging audit engagements at clients across the country. In 2017 he accepted a role at McDonough District Hospital as a Cost Accountant., where he’s tasked with helping establish and develop a new hospital-wide cost accounting system. Caleb is a huge advocate for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital after having received support himself after being diagnosed with Leukemia and along with his family has raised over $20,000 over the past seven years while participating in the St. Jude Macomb to Peoria run.
