Abina and the Important Men by Travor Getz

Aiming to be the first of its kind, Abina and the Important Men is an illustrated "graphic history" of a young, wrongfully enslaved, West African woman. Abina's story, as told here through both the writing of Pi Kappa Phi alumnus Trevor Getz, Gamma (UC Ð Berkeley), and the illustration of Liz Clarke, follows her enslavement, escape and, ultimately, her legal battle as she takes her former master to court.

Beta Iota Chapter surpasses 1,000 initiates

On Saturday, November 22, 2014, the Beta Iota Chapter at the University of Toledo broke 1,000 initiates. The chapter initiated 14 new members and one alumni initiate, Kurt James Rinke, the very supportive father of past chapter archon Nick Rinke. Four Beta Iota alumni assisted with the alumni initiation.
