A sad day for coaches and fans of the Roanoke College Maroons Ð the day in August when Richard John Emberger, Xi '59, receives his Bachelor of Arts Degree, signifying his completion of all competitive athletics at the college. "I think he is the best all-around athlete we have ever had at Roanoke," comments Homer Bast, registrar and track adviser. "Dick has proven himself, in my opinion to be the finest athlete in Virginia this year. There is almost nothing he can't do and do it better than the next fellow."
