Pi Kappa Phi has enriched the lives of young men for well over a century through our value-based leadership, educational, and service-learning opportunities. We have a solid foundation from which to continue building our fraternity as a premiere co-curricular education and self-governance experience for young men. Pi Kappa Phi now seeks a visionary, strategic leader to lead us into that future.
Recommendations
Recommendations were accepted through August 1, 2021.
A committee chaired by Bob Lane, Alpha Omicron (Iowa State) is responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of this effort. The committee is composed of Pi Kappa Phi alumni who are generationally and geographically diverse, and who represent a broad spectrum of undergraduate experiences.
I’d like a better understanding of the role. Where can I find more information?
Do I need to be a member of Pi Kappa Phi to apply?
While applications from non-members will be accepted, the search committee’s strong desire is for the person who fills this role to be someone who shares a common experience with our Pi Kappa Phi undergraduate and alumni members.
Is the search confidential?
Yes. The names of applicants will not be made public. While we will collect the names of references during the application process, we will not contact references without a candidate’s prior approval.
Will I be required to undergo any type of background check?
Background checks will not be part of the early phase of the search. They will be required, however, for all those who reach the semi-finalist stage.
I need to correct/update some of the information in my submitted application. How can I do that?
Updates and information may be emailed to the Columns Fundraising team at PiKappaPhi@columnsfundraising.com. Do not provide additional information or updates through the online application.
When will interviews begin?
Initial screening will begin this Spring, and we anticipate that phone, virtual, and in-person interviews for qualified candidates will continue through Fall 2021.
Who selects the final candidate?
The National Council, in collaboration with the leadership of our affiliate boards, will select the final candidate from a shortlist of final candidates recommended by the Search Committee.
Who do I contact with questions?
All questions should be directed to our professional partner in this important effort, Columns Fundraising. Mark Wilkison and David Carico, two of the firm’s co-founders, are managing the search for Pi Kappa Phi. They may be reached via email at PiKappaPhi@columnsfundraising.com.
