Volunteer Spotlight: Nick Jenkins

Pi Kappa Phi is privileged to have over 1,300 volunteers nationwide, who give their time, talent and treasures to ensure the men of Pi Kappa Phi are afforded an outstanding fraternity experience.

I volunteer for the men in this picture, Epsilon Rho at Lenoir-Rhyne University. As an active brother, I enjoyed that our chapter was made up of men who didn’t take themselves too seriously, while living out the tenets of brotherhood. After graduating, I began working for the university, so I was never far from the chapter. In recent years, some of the active brothers began to engage me more in the chapter, and it became clear to me that I could be doing more for them. That is when I decided to step in as an advisor. This group of young men have taken a chapter that struggled to recruit on a campus where Greek life has had challenges, and they have built a solid foundation for the years ahead. They keep me connected to our fraternity and constantly remind me of why I chose Pi Kappa Phi 17 years ago.
