Theta Sigma Chapter Celebrates Greek Sing victory and six year anniversary

Greek Sing is a dance competition that raises money for Camp Oneheartland, which is a camp for kids who are affected by HIV/AIDS. And, also raises money for the KA-BOOM project that builds playgrounds in a specific community. We will be building in Long Beach. The theme for the Greek Sing this year was movie themes. After a great competition the team Indiana Jones, which consisted of Pi Kappa Phi, Delta Gamma, and Tau Kappa Epsilon took hope the first place. Greek Sing 2014 was able to raise around $10,000 which beat last year’s total.

On Friday, April 18th, the Theta Sigma Chapter celebrated their six year anniversary of being chartered. The weekend was spent recognizing alumni, active members, and associates who have helped and are continuing to build a better chapter. This is all in preparation for next week which is our annual Matthew Ryzski Golf Tournament. Matthew Ryzski was an active member of Pi Kappa Phi Zeta Rho and a founding father of Theta Sigma. He unfortunately passed away due to bacterial meningitis three years ago. We honor his name by holding an annual golf tournament where part of the money raised goes toward The Matthew Ryzski Scholarship which recognizes an honorable Pi Kappa Phi in the Theta Sigma Chapter.

Our brotherhood here at Theta Sigma is continuing to grow, as we strive to represent what it means to be brothers of Pi Kappa Phi.
