Freshman Pi Kappa Phi members Kunal Patel and Aristeo Hernandez help build a wheelchair ramp just in time for Easter Sunday.
Saturday, March 26, Aristeo Hernandez, Kunal Patel, and volunteers from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception helped build a wheelchair ramp at a home on South Glenwood Avenue in Tyler.
This marks the chapter’s fifth ramp build with the Texas Ramp Project in the last year. The organization furnishes the building materials and the fraternity provides valuable muscle and manpower.
The non-profit organization is an all-volunteer group funded by United Way, local churches, civic organizations and individuals who work to build wheelchair ramps for those in need since incorporating in 2006.
