There’s no place like home

The Delta Chi chapter was recolonized in the fall of 2013 with this is mind. Although no immediate housing option was available, the chapter, alumni, and Pi Kappa Phi Properties kept their eyes and ears open for any possible solution. As the 2014 summer was coming to a close and students were getting ready to return back to Manhattan for the fall, an opportunity presented itself. The Sigma Nu house was available! Although the chapter members all had living arrangements for the school year, several members eagerly volunteered to move in to the house; this was an opportunity that they could not pass up.

The house has 3 stories and a basement, with a sleeping dorm on the top floor. The house also features a 3 story balcony, a beach volleyball court, and a basketball court. The house can sleep up to 55 men, with most rooms existing on the top floor and a select few in the traditional bedrooms throughout the house.

The chapter hosted an open house to welcome all of the alumni returning for the chapter’s re-chartering on November 8th, 2014. Alumni were given tours of the new chapter house for the Delta Chi chapter. With such a heavy emphasis on housing at K-State, the alumni were ecstatic about the promise that the house brings to the chapter. As the spring semester approaches, the chapter looks forward to their first full semester of recruitment as a fully chartered chapter with a house.
