Throughout college I had a great time, however it really didn’t hit until I interviewed for a job at Air Wisconsin Airlines for a First Officer position. During my interview, Pi Kappa Phi was brought up. The Chief Pilot that interviewed me was president of his fraternity so we had an interfraternal connection. I was asked “What was your greatest moment in Pi Kapp?” Which was cycling the hill into Tallahassee to complete Gear Up Florida in 2010. When I was asked what the characteristics of a leader and a good captain are, that was very easy because I knew what it meant to lead from my time as an undergrad.
The confidence I gained from Pi Kappa Phi made me very comfortable in my interview and ready to answer any question. I had no idea how much Pi Kapp would impact my life and help develop me into the person I am today. I joined on a whim and other than being a pilot, joining an organization which truly exemplifies leadership was the best decision I made.
