A wooden boardwalk that washed away after nearly 25 years of use has been replaced with a new, nearly quarter-mile planked and railed path.
Lori Richard, the communities’ volunteer manager, said nearly 290 volunteers representing 14 organizations, including companies, businesses, school and youth groups, firefighters, and technology and construction firms, stepped forward with nearly 2,300 volunteer hours for the project.
