Our June 2019 Student Spotlight goes to Kyle Wright, Beta Xi (Central Michigan).
Wright attends Central Michigan University, where he stays busy working to complete a double major and double minor. He just completed his sophomore year majoring in political science, non-profit and public administration and minoring in leadership and sustainable environmental policy.
When Wright isn’t busy with his classwork, he volunteers his time with CMU Leadership Institute, CMU College Democrats, and Special Olympics Michigan. Some of his favorite activities have been Special Olympics Michigan’s winter games and the Polar Plunge.
In his chapter, Wright is currently serving as archon and has worked diligently to get the chapter out of debt. Wright worked with his chapter leadership and chapter advisor, to tackle Beta Xi’s longstanding tax issue and pay off over $12,000 of debt. After a semester of hard work, the Beta Xi Chapter will begin next semester in good financial standing.
Next summer, Wright plans to participate in The Ability Experience’s Journey of Hope. We are excited to see how else he can positively affect his chapter and university.
