The Council of Archons consists of 12 current or past chapter undergraduate archons who shall serve:
- As an advisory board to the National Council, providing the National Council with regular input, advice and undergraduate perspective on fraternity-related issues.
- By proposing legislation and/or administrative measures to the National Council and/or National Headquarters staff.
- Through functioning as a liaison between the National Council, National Headquarters and undergraduate chapters.
REQUIREMENTS
According to the Gold Book: “There shall be a national Council of Archons, consisting of 12 members, each of whom shall be an undergraduate member of the fraternity and shall be a current or past chapter archon.”
Members of the Council of Archons shall be appointed based on the following:
- Individual Merit
- Ability and commitment to serve as a member of the Council of Archons
