“I decided to do Build America because I feel like God has blessed me with the ability and passion for helping others regardless if they have disabilities or not. I’m very excited to see what this opportunity has in store for me!”
In addition to beginning to fundraise for Build America, Brenz also co-founded a new organization on his campus geared toward helping people in the Nacogdoches area who had different abilities. “The Disability Awareness Team, which I created along with a Chi Omega sister on my campus, has a main focus of showing people all the great things that people with disabilities can do. We have 25 members so far and are actively helping our school and greater community. It has been a blessing seeing this grow from an idea into a fully functioning organization.”
Brenz is the first Pi Kappa Phi Brother from Iota Zeta to participate in a summer event, and is the first in his chapter to participate in Build America.
