Nathan C. Stamp, a 2017 University of Iowa graduate and member of the Theta Theta Chapter, passed away unexpectedly of an epileptic seizure on October 26, 2019. Nathan was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 12, which he managed with daily medicine for the rest of his life. The chapter was supportive and accommodating of Nathan’s illness.
In 2020, on the first anniversary of the loss of Brother Stamp, the Theta Theta Chapter at the University of Iowa established the Nathan Stamp Brother of the Year award with the intent that the recipient would exhibit the same passion and level of brotherhood Nathan had while at the University of Iowa. The Stamp family was so moved by the way the chapter remembered and honored their son that they established a scholarship for the recipient of the award each year.
Every spring, one member of the Theta Theta (Iowa) Chapter is selected as a recipient of the Nathan Stamp Brother of the Year Scholarship and will receive a grant.
