Ryan Pernice was a refounding father of Psi chapter, serving as Warden his junior year. He was also involved on campus in Ye Hosts Academic Honorary Society, and was a Meinig Family Cornell National Scholar. In 2007, he received the Joseph Drown Special Prize for top graduate from the School of Hotel Administration. After working as a restaurant consultant for two years, he opened Maialino restaurant in NYC with Union Square Hospitality Group. In August 2011, he opened Table & Main in his hometown of Roswell, Ga. Since opening, Table & Main has been included in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution‘s Top 50 Restaurants twice, Atlanta Magazine‘s A-List Restaurants, and Zagat Atlanta‘s “ATL’s Hottest Tables.” In November 2013 he opened his second restaurant, Osteria Mattone, and has been recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year by Roswell, Ga. and Young Entrepreneur of the Year by Fulton County. His experience has earned him spots on boards for Roswell’s Convention and Tourism Bureau and Kula Project, a private philanthropy that sponsors sustainable agricultural entrepreneurship in Africa.
