This is a disease that damages the motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord that controls muscle movement. There is currently no cure for ALS which is why every year we work towards raising money to help find one. This event is very close to our hearts; it was founded in honor of Paul Massey, father of Peter (JMU, Pi Kappa Phi ’05) who lost his life after a five-year battle with the disease. This year, as the 11th annual Paul’s Walk commences, we are coming to make this event larger than it’s ever been. The now 5k race/walk will be held at the JMU Arboretum on April 3rd. Through donations and support of family members, friends, and the JMU and Harrisonburg community, we hope to raise money for research and to hopefully help find a cure. If you would like to donate to support the cause, follow the link in our bio. Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you for any help, we all truly appreciate it. #PaulsWalk #ALS #ΠΚΦ #ΣΣΣ
