Omega Chapter hosts 6th annual Arctoberfest

“Arctoberfest,” is a one-night event that brings about 50 clients and family members from the Arc of Tippecanoe, a local chapter of a national organization. The Omega chapter started hosting the group in 2011.

Chapter members, along with a Purdue student Best Buddies organization, participate in carnival games and dancing for two hours each fall. Both organizations also conduct a prom for adults with disabilities each spring, too.

Bag tossing, free throw shooting were among the several games played for the more than 100 attending the event on Oct. 25 in the fraternity house parking lot and lawn.
Prizes were given for the scariest, most creative and most original costumes. The most creative, for example, went to a woman in a wheelchair made up into a sleigh and she dress as Mrs. Santa Claus.
