In the pitch black dark Wednesday morning, a large group of young men stirred from their sleeping spots on the floor of the Blessed Trinity School gymnasium.
They gathered their belongings, had a quick breakfast, and amid flashes of lightning and the roar of thunder — and with the area under a tornado watch until 3 p.m. — mounted bicycles and hit the road on another leg of this year’s Gear Up Florida 850-mile ride across the state in support of people with disabilities.
