fraternity members are on a journey of hope. They pedaled their bikes into town to spread a message of acceptance. When members of Pi Kappa Phi rode into town to meet with children, there was a lot of cheering. Cyclist Ernesto Rodriguez says the interaction with kids is amazing.
A generation of college-aged bicyclists have not only seen the historical and cultural thread of the United States from the seat of their two-wheel mode of transportation but they also feel satisfied in knowing that they are making a difference with those less fortunate than them.
During a campus visit last year, Jim White '65 encountered the World War II memorial and felt strongly that it should be expanded to honor and remember more alumni veterans. Now, additional memorials are in place thanks to White's leadership and the approximately $20,000 contributed from Pi Kappa Phi alumni.
Fraternity Men from across the country gathered in Seattle to bike to Washington D.C. to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities. Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity has active members and alumni on this 4,200 mile journey.

College students cycling across the country to raise money and awareness about people with disabilities are scheduled to stop in Las Vegas on Tuesday.
Partnering with The Ability Experience, an organization who helps raise money and awareness for people with disabilities, nearly 40 Pi Kappa Phi members from around the country have been participating in Journey of Hope to bike nearly 4,000 miles cross country to raise awareness.
