Northwestern State University honored three people, including one Marshall man, for their lifelong contributions to the arts with induction into the Mrs. H.D. Dear Sr. and Alice Estelle Dear School of Creative and Performing Arts Hall of Fame this spring.

Jeff Wahlen, Attorney/Shareholder of Ausley McMullen was installed by Leadership Florida as its chair for the 2016-2017 year at the organization’s annual conference in Orlando on June 26. Wahlen is a graduate of Leadership Florida’s Class XXI and has served on its Board of Directors since 2006. He also served as its volunteer General Counsel from 2006 to 2015.
During the Summer, George Perreault, Alpha Alpha (Mercer) and wife (a former Pi Kapp little sister) took a Viking River Cruise down the Danube between Nuremberg and Budapest to celebrate their 40th anniversary.
Congratulations to Beta Omicron Chapter (Northwestern State) alumnus Blake Nugent (#482) and wife Lindsay on the birth of their son, Liam Alan.
