Miles away but offices apart

Both Leadership Consultant Cory Garner and Logistics Coordinator Spencer Munro both grew up in Keflavik, Iceland where they attended A.T. Mahan elementary school and shared a third grade teacher together. As common with the military lifestyle they both ended up leaving Iceland in the coming years. The two future Pi Kappa Phi brothers ended up growing up in Virginia with Cory growing up in Virginia Beach and Spencer in Gloucester. Years later, Cory attended Old Dominion University and became a brother of Gamma Beta Chapter while Spencer attended Roanoke where he joined the Xi Chapter.

Thanks to the convenience of social media the two were able to put the pieces together to realize they both shared a similar past. The two one-time classmates now work on opposite sides of The Kelley A. Bergstrom Leadership Center of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and live in the same town house division. This just goes to show that it’s a small world with a whole lot of brothers.
