During his time as an student member, Lucas served his chapter as Archon, Vice Archon and Treasurer and cycled on the Journey of Hope North team. He was also involved in Dance Marathon, a member of Blue Key National Honor Society, and Mortar Board National Honor Society. Luc remained at the University of Toledo after graduation to pursue a master’s degree in pharmaceutical science. His work during the degree earned him two publications in the Journal of Community Health. He has served the fraternity as an advisor, a Ladder of Risk and ASTP facilitator and a 2011 Gear Up Florida cyclist. In the Toledo community, he served on the President’s Council on Diversity at UT, volunteered at the Lucas County Health Department. After receiving his graduate degree from the University of Toledo, Luc secured a full ride scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health to pursue a Peace Corps Masters International degree in public health and left the United States for a Peace Corps appointment in Kenya in June 2013.
