Iota Phi Chapter chartered at Loyola News Orleans

The chapter became a colony on Loyola University New Orleans’ campus in the spring semester of 2013. Over the next three semesters, hard work and dedication allowed the chapter to develop into the successful group of Founding Fathers we have today.

The chapter was privileged to have Eric Almquist, Alpha Omicron (Iowa State) and Wes Breeden, Beta Omicron (Northwestern State) serve as Installation Officer and Assistant Installation Officer, respectively. Additionally, Friday’s initiation was executed by initiation teams from Beta Mu (McNeese State) and Beta Omicron (Northwestern State).

In addition to its student members, the Iota Phi chapter was privileged to welcome an alumni initiate this weekend. During his undergraduate years, Mark Schneider was an associate member in the Alpha Theta chapter at Michigan State. In 1966, he left to serve our country in the Vietnam War before he could be initiated. Now a resident of Kenner, Louisiana, Mark was recommended for alumni initiation by his friend Michael Allain, an initiate of our Beta Omicron chapter at Northwestern State. After a nearly 50-year journey, Mark was initiated into Pi Kappa Phi. The Iota Phi chapter would like to thank Mark for his service to our country and is honored to welcome him into their brotherhood.

The Iota Phi chapter certainly has a lot to celebrate, and this group is destined to do great things on the Loyola New Orleans campus into the future. Congratulations, brothers!
