Kappa Delta (Florida Atlantic) attends Pi Kapp College for Chapter Officers

The executive board was able to listen to keynote speakers, attend sessions and even had the opportunity to attend breakfast with the honorary fourth founder Durward Owen and two past national presidents, Phil Tappy and Ted Scharfenstein. We heard amazing and inspiring speeches from Allen O. Woody’s wife and brother who spoke about his success and great helpfulness in making not only his chapter Xi (Roanoke), but also Pi Kappa Phi the “ideal” fraternity throughout his life. For his dedication to Pi Kappa Phi, the conference was named after Allen O. Woody (Mr. Pi Kappa Phi, 2007) who recently passed away on July 13, 2015. Also, Kappa Delta attended speeches given by the CEO Mark E. Timmes and the National President Tracy Maddux.

At the awards ceremony Tracy Maddux and William Sigmon presented the executive board with our charter and recognized everyone for their accomplishments throughout the first year. Two awards for Campus Involvement and Governance were given to us prior to the awards ceremony. We plan to continue to grow and succeed in many different areas as the Kappa Delta Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi.
