Kappa Delta Chapter charters at Florida Atlantic University

For the men of the Kappa Delta Chapter, the journey to becoming a chartered chapter began in the fall 2013 semester when national staff members arrived on campus to begin recruiting the founding fathers. Along their journey they were met with many obstacles but through their collective strength, they were able to accomplish their goal.

On the Friday evening of the chartering weekend, the men of the Kappa Delta Chapter were initiated into Pi Kappa Phi by the brothers of the Iota Upsilon Chapter at Florida Gulf Coast University and the Eta Psi Chapter at the University of Central Florida.

Installing officers, J. Jeffry Wahlen from the Alpha Epsilon Chapter at the University of Florida and William T. Sigmon from the Alpha Sigma Chapter at the University of Tennessee, assisted with the oral examination. Wahlen is a former National President and Sigmon currently serves as the National Chaplain for Pi Kappa Phi.

During his keynote at the chartering banquet on Saturday evening Wahlen told the men of Kappa Delta, “it’s men like you that make me proud to be a fraternity man.” Wahlen continued with a challenge for the newly initiated brothers, “teach fraternity the way you learned it, by leading and committing to making your chapter better.”

The national organization is excited to welcome the men of Kappa Delta Chapter into our brotherhood. We would like to thank the students, advisors, and university staff who contributed to the chapter’s success.
