The chapter was installed by Dwayne Todd, Alpha Eta (Samford), and Mark Urrutia, Beta Iota (Toledo), respectively. The 35 founding fathers were initiated into Pi Kappa Phi by the men of Alpha Nu (Ohio State) and Beta Iota (Toledo). Overall, it was a memorable evening for everyone involved.
The chapter hosted a banquet at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in the Primate, Cat and Aquatics building. Representing the national fraternity at the chapter’s chartering banquet were the Director of Operations Ryan Lugabihl, Eta Upsilon (Miami – OH), and Leadership Consultant Greg Swierzewski, Iota Epsilon (Susquehanna). Members of the Case Western community were present including Vice President of Student Affairs Lou Stark, Director of Greek Life Mark Starr, and IFC President Ethan Pickering.
During his keynote address, Dwayne Todd referenced the written reflections of the newly initiated men from the night before their initiations. They were accounts of brotherhood, exceptional leadership and hopes for lifelong commitment.
The Case Western Reserve Fraternity & Sorority Life community and Pi Kappa Phi are extremely proud of the men of Kappa Alpha and look forward to all that they will accomplish.
