The cyclists are riding for The Ability Experience, a philanthropy operated by Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, and started their Journey of Hope in Long Beach, California, on June 8.
“I had some family members in the past with different disabilities that I ended up losing,” said Matt McKee, a Purdue University student. “This was my way to give back to the community, show my support and show that everyone deserves to have so much love and support thrown at them.”
McKee and the other cyclists were greeted by members of ARCO when they finished up their 115-mile ride for the day at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where they will be staying for the night.
