John and Patrick met just after Thanksgiving 2007 and have been together ever since. John serves the fraternity as a Ladder of Risk and ASTP facilitator, as well as a facilitator at Pi Kapp College for Chapter Officers. The couple currently resides in Washington, where John is a cancer researcher at the National Cancer Institute and Patrick works as a mechanical engineer.
