Joe believes that you can either accept change or make it. That philosophy led him to help re-found the Alpha Gamma Chapter in 2010, become Oklahoma’s student body president and after graduation in 2013, found OU’s LGBT Alumni Society. During college, Joe served as his chapter’s Vice Archon for two years. He moved to Washington, D.C. in 2014 where he now serves as the director of development for the Victory Fund, a national organization that recruits, trains, and supports out-LGBT leaders running for office. In 2015, Joe received the Horizon Award from Freedom Oklahoma, Oklahoma’s LGBT advocacy organization, for his potential and commitment to advancing equality.
