Iota Pi Chapter hosts inaugural War of the Roses

Each sorority nominated one contestant whom they believed would advance the mission and values of Pi Kappa Phi. These seven wonderful women and their sororities competed in different events throughout the week.

Donations to The Ability Experience were made through a change collection competition and an entry fee for the final event, which consisted of a series of events to determine the winner.

Each nominee choreographed a lip sync and dance routine to a song of their choice, competed in a wheel chair race to display some of the difficulties those in wheelchairs face, and competed in a sorority chant off. Finally, the sororities brought forth a decorated cooler, which was ranked and then auctioned off at chapter meeting. All of the events were judged by three non-partisan judges to ensure each sorority would have a fair chance.

Iota Pi Chapter raised a total of $1,263 for The Ability Experience. The event was a huge success and will be revamped and continued in the future.
