Introducing Pi Kappa Phi’s 2024-25 Council of Archons

The Council of Archons is a student advisory board to the National Council and serves as a liaison between undergraduate chapters and the national Fraternity. The group consists of 12 undergraduate members who are current or past archons. Each member who has been selected has made exceptional contributions to his individual chapter and in turn has been granted this opportunity to influence the Fraternity on a national level.     

Join us in congratulating the 12 young men who have been selected to serve on the 2024-25 Council of Archons: 

Andrew Davis, Kappa (UNC-Chapel Hill)

Andrew Davis is from Boca Raton, Florida, and attends the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he studies sport administration and coaching education and serves as the archon of the Kappa Chapter. He previously served as his chapter’s historian and is involved on campus as the manager for the men’s D1 lacrosse team. As a member of the Council of Archons, Davis looks forward to providing meaningful feedback and insight to Pi Kappa Phi, giving back to the Fraternity that has given so much to him. 

 

 

Patrick Robertson, Lambda (Georgia) 

Patrick Robertson is from Bendham, New Jersey, and attends the University of Georgia, where he studies finance and serves as the archon of the Lambda Chapter. He previously served as his chapter’s treasurer. As a member of the Council of Archons, Robertson looks forward to collaborating on initiatives that will enhance the Fraternity and shape the future of Pi Kappa Phi.  

Caleb New, Alpha Eta (Samford) 

Caleb New is from Fayetteville, Georgia, and attends Samford University, where he studies history and serves as the archon of the Alpha Eta Chapter. He previously served as his chapter’s recruitment chair and is involved on campus as a member of the Samford student recruitment team and a Samford connections leader. As a member of the Council of Archons, New looks forward to using the leadership skills he has cultivated within his chapter to serve the greater Fraternity and improve the overall undergraduate member experience.  

 

Wheeler Garrett, Alpha Iota (Auburn) 

Wheeler Garrett is from Auburn, Alabama, and attends Auburn University, where he studies marketing and serves as the archon of the Alpha Iota Chapter. He previously served as his chapter’s scholarship chairman and vice archon and is involved on campus as a member of Auburn’s council of presidents, and in his community as a volunteer with Miracle League of East Alabama. As a member of the Council of Archons, Garrett looks forward to leaving a legacy that inspires his chapter brothers to impact Pi Kappa Phi on a national level.  

 

Auden Van Laeken, Alpha Sigma (Tennessee) 

Auden Van Laeken is from Los Angeles, California, and attends the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he studies construction science and management and serves as the archon of the Alpha Sigma Chapter. He previously served as his chapter’s secretary and is involved on campus as the Interfraternity Council judicial chairman and then vice president of judicial affairs, a future Greek leaders facilitator and a member of the Psi Society. As a member of the Council of Archons, Van Laeken looks forward to being in a community of strong leaders who are ready to dedicate themselves to helping Pi Kappa Phi reach its full potential.  

 

Owen Lindsay, Eta Gamma (Colorado) 

Owen Lindsay is from Milton, Georgia, and attends the University of Colorado-Boulder, where he studies finance and real estate and serves as the IFC on the Hill president. He previously served as his chapter’s archon. As a member of the Council of Archons, Lindsay looks forward to collaborating with his peers, listening intently to their opinions, providing his own and tackling challenges as a team while working toward a common goal.  

 

Luke Gatewood, Eta Chi (Texas Christian) 

Luke Gatewood is from Hinsdale, Illinois, and attends Texas Christian University, where he studies finance and accounting and serves as the archon of the Eta Chi Chapter. He previously served as his chapter’s vice archon and is involved on campus as a member of the transaction investments professionals board and KinderFrogs, an early-intervention childhood education program that provides education to children with Down Syndrome. As a member of the Council of Archons, Gatewood looks forward to helping chapters that face challenges connect with other chapters across the country to learn from them and implement new ideas, as well as helping ensure all chapters have the resources and support needed for success.  

 

Gabe Morais, Theta Mu (Massachusetts-Amherst) 

Gabe Morais is from Winchester, Massachusetts, and attends the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where he studies managerial economics and serves as the archon of the Theta Mu Chapter. He previously served as his chapter’s house manager. As a member of the Council of Archons, Morais looks forward to giving back to Pi Kappa Phi, the fraternity that has enabled his personal growth and shaped him into the man he is today. He aims to improve the greater Fraternity and make it better for future brothers.  

 

John Serafim, Theta Psi (RIT) 

John Serafim is from Radnor, Pennsylvania, and attends the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he studies mechanical engineering and serves as the brotherhood chairman of the Theta Psi Chapter. He previously served as his chapter’s recruitment chair, standards board chairman and then archon and is involved on campus as the Interfraternity Council vice president of public relations and the club lacrosse president. As a member of the Council of Archons, Serafim looks forward to representing smaller schools that may have a different fraternity experience than other chapters, as well as getting to know and serve alongside brothers from across the country.  

 

Simon Flaherty, Lambda Iota (Vermont) 

Simon Flaherty is from Milford, Connecticut, and attends the University of Vermont, where he studies business analytics with a focus on entrepreneurship and serves as the archon of the Lambda Iota Chapter. On campus, he previously served as the Interfraternity Council vice president of philanthropy and service. As a member of the Council of Archons, Flaherty looks forward to showing his chapter that the work they are doing matters on a national level, as well as joining a community of archons from across the country who will share ideas and work together to serve Pi Kappa Phi.
