Alongside Kappa Delta Sorority and Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi helped lead the greek week team to victory claiming the title and snazzy trophy that goes along with it. Competing in the penny drive, banner and sign in contests, Greek field games, and the Greek god and goddesses talent show, the young chapter made a name for themselves and left an impression with the community and on the scoreboard.
Since this was only the second year the chapter competing in the event, and with a chapter size only half that of the men’s campus average, the gentleman of Pi Kappa Phi had their work cut out for them. But with a strong determination and a drive to win, the guys were able to blast past the competition and take victory/. Jack Keeney, a freshman of the Idaho chapter, said “since we are so new and don’t have the numbers of some of the more established chapters on our campus, it can be hard to get people to take us seriously, so it’s incredible to be able to win this award and show everyone that we’re here to stay.”
This victory comes right off the heels of the chapter’s successful thirty hour bike-a-thon event, which helped spread awareness and raise hundreds for The Ability Experience.
