Trent Masters and his friend, Adrian Lopez, had no idea when they signed up to be bone marrow donors they would actually get called to donate.
Three years later, they both matched with patients suffering from a blood cancer.
“I think that it’s an easy way to save other lives,” said Masters. “It’s a positive thing.”
Masters donated peripheral blood stem cells, whereas Lopez donated bone marrow.
“It was just an opportunity I couldn’t really say no to,” said Lopez.
